However, if they put a story like that in the press everyone will support the outcry and their goal is not to end the problems that they are creating.
The goal is division and that requires one group rioting on behalf of a terrible representative.
They pick criminals resisting arrest so that regular law abiding citizens will not agree with the calls for reform.

People doing research is not a LARP. Some of the research might end uo being a dead end but the point that POTUS is tweeting data that originated here it is clear that much of the investigations are bearing fruit.
In a regular world the FBI and CIA would be all over this stuff but they are deep state right now so Trump has a handful of patriotic attorneys and us.
