While Polis isn’t great, Hickenlooper was much worse and had a huge part in Denver’s homelessness problem. Here’s a pretty good article with a basic explanation. There may be better ones with more details. Essentially, when Hickenlooper was mayor he made this big claim to “end homelessness in Denver in 10 years”, got millions of dollars in funding for it, and there was literally nothing to show for it after 10 years.
One or two homeless beggars here but no campers or shanty towns. There was a serious proposal last year to build a 1000 person homeless facility in Lakewood on federal land but thankfully it was shot down.

This. I was just in a store who had a song that said all people who enter must wear a mask. But then at the check out, there was another sign about how if you have a medical condition you don’t have to wear a mask and that (this is the kicker) it’s illegal for them to ask what your medical condition is.....which makes any mask “law” completely useless.
Leaglly, is being pepper sprayed like this considered assault? If this happens to me would I legally be able to physically defend myself? I would’ve one-punched KO’d that old lady. That guy showed great restraint (though perhaps too much).
