How do you think? He’s suiting his folks up in riot gear encouraging them to maintain and defend the peaceful protest. I’m sure his folks are going to do what they can to stop the looting and destruction of property—which is decidedly and quite obviously not peaceful.

The president supports the protests. He just doesn’t support the looting and destruction of property. You can be for protesting and be against them when they turn harmful.

Keyword is peaceful. SecDef supports peaceful assembly, just as the POTUS does.

Yeah, he didn’t seem to be fiddling with the plate during the duration of the clip. I presume the dude intended to convey the plate was on the “front of the lid of the trunk”—that was facing upwards while he was accessing the trunk contents. Poor choice of words.
