I agree with you. Not everyone is an absolutist here. But honestly I come back less and less to patwin because it's just as much of an echo chamber as Reddit or any other website. Diversity of thought is NOT encouraged here.
This is what I tell people. Even when he did The Apprentice, he did not display anything but apathy toward LGB people, and I'd rather somebody not care that I'm gay than weaponize it!
My father is an immigrant from communist Poland. His whole family fled when they saw the writing on the wall. But I guess their experience is a non-issue since, y'know, muh priv-lij.
If it's more convenient for the people I know and love to use Facebook, I'll use Facebook. It's not justifiable for me to make everyone do what's convenient just to me if I care about their feelings.
