This is completely true and i am a professional in this... have been for the last 6 years. EVERYTHING is hackable.. it just depends on time and resources and if the target is worth the time and money. End to end encryption using 256 bit encryption would take more time to decrypt just one message than humans have been around. Open source software is probably the most secure dev environment which is why security experts are saying voting Software must be open source. There are lots of things to be paranoid about. End to end Encryption open source chat apps should be down the list.
