I don't think kids have any place in this. I was caught up in the first Womens March in DC after the Inauguration in 2016 and so many kids were there. They were yelling Fuck Trump at 5 years old. While I know we would never teach our kids that, I didn't think it was right to expose little people to such adult issues. It's ok to stay home with the kids. Plus it makes Dad or Mom, if shes going instead,think twice about doing something stupid while in DC and gives them something to come back to. Not that anyone is gonna do anything stupid..I hope..

When I drove to the inauguration I got a fat ticket in Wheeling WVA..doing 9 over. It was a speed trap and since I was from out of town, I got popped.So I'd avoid WVA, only speeding ticket I've ever had too.

When I went to the Inauguration, we walked, walked..walked... and used the Metro. Be aware the busese that run around the Mall don't run this time of year either. Soo..walk..lol.

No, it's basically what I planned to do but I would say to take Amtrack instead. There is a station at the airport with a shuttle to Amtrack and then off get dropped off at Union Station in DC. Half hour ride for about $11.
