I designed some really good forums back in the late 90's/early 00's. I am a forum guy. I enjoy how they operated, their function, their layout, etc. I enjoyed designing them, shaping them, running them even if I had to (but usually passed that off to others).
I didn't "like" it, but I appreciated Facebook's system. It was basically a forum that encouraged you to personalize your profile, but I didn't like that there wasn't "threads." I liked someone posting a topic and then having a million replies and views, etc. I hate the disorganized "let's just spam the top feed" approach, but that's everyone now. No approach to civility, let's all just SPAM so my crap can be live and NOW (for all of 3 seconds).
I miss the heart, and the soul. I miss a countless number of friends I've lost over the years due to thinking "This will last forever!"
I miss who I used to be.
