The memes about those issues are a bit funny. But they play into the straw-man of being unreasonable and dangerous. You are talking about possibly your neighbours, and family.
It is an easy thing to do, play into the shock value. But does it actually make the situation better?
I understand your deep frustration. It is frustrating AF to deal with these type of people, but getting violent with them only reaffirms their Straw-man, and you will get the whole world against you.
The key is to defeat the Straw-man, to show the world that you are not the what the Straw-man depicts you as being.
I think this should be the key issue to solve. To defeat the FakeNews straw-man. I don't know how to do this tactically. But I'm quite sure that defeating this straw-man is the key. And how to defeat the straw-man is maybe to learn how do deal with anxious people. Which probably can be a bit of a challenge for strong men, that can deal easily with that stuff.
Its just that the half of west is like a anxious cat, and victory is to become friends with it. Even if the cat is stupid AF, one can not shout at it. Its patience , and try to have it learn to trust you.
Yes, that is the issue underneath. Anxious people get controlling when they do not accept that only God is in in control. They need to accept that it is not okay to try controlling others, and that in the end it is just futile.
You do not get a good country when you censor other people, or have lock-downs, or create overbearing regulations, tax to heavily. So on.
The phenomena of Jordan Peterson showed that people have a strong desire to learn about God, and the Bible. I think it is just that the classic way of teaching the word needs to be updated in some way. But if you can understand why Jordan Peterson became so popular you can understand how to solve the root problem of how to get people closer to God. How to rekindle the interest in the Bible which ultimately will save us, because the anxious people will find their peace there instead of trying to control everyone.
Yes, I understand, this is why I said, probably to late. But still I feel this should be something one should do in parallel.
Some should still try to win the hearts and minds of the other side.
The Straw-man is the key. Because if the other side gets to see the Staw-man for what it is, everything will just stop. The whole movement of the FakeNews will collapse on itself.

Its from a personality type system , The Enneagram, which basically just described different patters of behaviours, and the motivation for those behaviours, which we humans go into. On of those patters are the anxious pattern, which the system calls "The Six" , the sixth pattern.
But in the end it is about how to deal with anxious people , and their paranoia , and try to calm it in some way. This is what I think.

It really is about control; a natural instinct in all men, to still anxiety. Anxious people just want to have things under control so they do not feel anxious.
We see this in all things. They want to control the Economy thought marked manipulation. They want to control the virus though lock-downs. They want to control speech through censorship.
Basically they do not trust freedom. They do not trust God. Since they do not trust these things they need control.
Long term, to reverse the process, is to teach people to trust God. Because trusting God is about accepting that you are not in control, only God is in control. And that it is not right to control other people just to still your anxiety.
Short term is about getting the news discredited, to make people realise that the MSM is just garbage. By building other sources of credible news. But I think this goes into having more credible people by having them trust and follow God.

I just want to say it’s a sign of a great country that it’s constituents care so much about its legal representation. In Europe people does not even know who their presidents is. Yes EU has three presidents.. I think.. See? I also love the United States. We the people for the people. Even though you don’t necessarily have a small government, some people actually know that that is what you should have. And this is great. That the idea of liberty still is alive in the US.
Actually a bit shocking. But I have experienced the daemon that lives inside people myself debating in public at first this lovely man. But when I cornered him in my debate his daemon came out. It is quite shocking when you experience it. Many people have been programmed in a way now that easily releases their daemon. People need to get their morals straight. But it’s really hard to reprogram someone’s moral structure. In short terms , she needs Jesus!
You probably think this to, but I’m going to say it. I think the US suffers from two main things that bleed into each other. First I think US suffers from the after effect of the Cold War when the Soviet was doing demoralising against the US, and we are seeing the effects now since demoralisation takes 20-30 years to spring into effect. Demoralisation / envy bleeds into wanting big government which bleeds into Central Banking to pay for it. Central Banking inflates the currency making things more expensive making which feeds into the demoralisation/ envy. Because some people become poorer / can not cope.
To reverse the effect one has to strengthen the morality of the country. You see this in Russia today. They build new orthodox churches. But this is to get a strong moral backbone in the country. So: people need to follow Christ-> leads to not wanting to be socialist-> leads to less government-> leads to less central banking preferably ENDING THE FED -> this leads to an healthy economy with high efficiency -> which leads to people not being envious and wanting socialism.
First I don’t like the narrative of blacks and whites. You are all Americans, so what is stopping that subset of Americans from enjoying the outdoors? What is stopping them from joining the local boy scouts and learning the skills? I don’t understand what the article is specifically saying that is stopping them from enjoying the outdoors?
This is super horrible. What I just did was to email 6 of my politicians and politely asked them to read an article about this and to ask them what they thought about this and what they think we can do to stop this from happening in my country.
We need to raise awareness to our politicians though email since the MSM does not write about it.
I understand your arguments. But what do you think about the raw numbers? Is there a point for you when the infection rate is to rapid ? Do you have a number ? Okay, say for my town. In our hospital we have prob 10-15 intensive care units. Population of 200 000 people. Say 2% get sick and needs intensive care. That is 4000 people. Say only 0.02% actually need intensive care. That is 400 people. 400 people / 15 beds that is 26 timeunits. Say it takes 2 weeks to get well. That is 26 * 2 weeks. 52 weeks. So we need to draw it out over 52 weeks. Okay, you can probably increase the amount of beds, but it’s not so easy to increase staff. And you have to account for the staff getting sick as well, and then they are out for 2 weeks. Then you have to take into account burnouts of the staff. It all adds up. There is a quite limited resource in the hospitals.
So in the end I think one needs to be careful about the rate of infections.

This is quite contagious, and everyone can get it. The issue then is there is a sub-section of those that get it that need intensive care.
Therefor one need to slow the rate of infections. If one does not do that the amount of people that need hospital care will be to much for the hospitals to handle. This will then affect everyone that need care.
This is why we sit at home, as to slow down the rate of infections.
Well.. just do the Math. It’s a function of time/rate of infections VS people that need intensive care.
If there are to many infected a sub-section of those need intensive care. If to many need care the hospitals get swamped and the health care system can not deal with all the other patients.
The proof for this is the Italian hospitals.
The logic is that the fewer interactions we have the less likely the hospitals will get over-run.
This is why we stay home. The peek is probably coming in may.
The alternative is as you say to open up the economy again, but then you probably will get swamped hospitals. So you need to choose what you want to do.
The best thing of course is to have some medicine that will keep people from needing intensive care. So therefor I’m hoping for that malaria medicine.
