First of all, congratulations on your election victory this fall. I did vote for you in the General Election. I didn't vote for you in the primary, but I was optimistic you would serve the district admirably. With that said, however, I am very much looking forward to voting against you in the 2022 Primary. You have already betrayed and denigrated the very constituents that elected you.
Your vote to impeach Trump was appalling. Not only is the impeachment demonstrably unconstitutional, but also Trump did nothing wrong in the context of January 6th. I find it duplicitous that you would cite approval Trump SIX times on your campaign platform, yet you backstab him at the first available opportunity.
You act as if you were conflicted with the decision on a personal level. Since you're new to Congress, let me tell you how it works. You represent us, the people. Your sanctimonious justifications are far from compelling. In fact, you come across as out-of-touch, patronizing, and condescending. You sound like Adam Schiff.
Not only have you betrayed your voters with the impeachment vote, you have denigrated us as "conspiracy theorists" and "insurrectionists." The Capitol event was regrettable, indeed, but there is much we don't know about that day. It wasn't entirely MAGA-driven, nor does that represent the movement as a whole. In terms of insurrection, Trump's comments are tepid in comparison to your colleagues Maxine "create a crowd" Waters and Alexandria "let this moment radicalize you" Ocasio-Cortez. Until the GOP learns to fight back, we will ALWAYS lose. To be clear, I mean fight in a figurative sense with political capital. You evidently struggle to discern literal and figurative rhetoric.
In regard to the "election lies" as you put it, do you care to refute the sworn affidavits of witnesses or the testimony given by the brave people in the Michigan House Oversight hearing? I would be interested to hear you debunk each of their claims. How about the fact that our state leaders (Nessel, Benson, Whitmer) who have done everything they can to dilute the voting process then obfuscate the results and impede any significant retrospective evaluation of the November election? You can't simply call them "lies" without due process.
I will be supporting an opponent of yours in the primary. I will personally volunteer my time and resources to do so. Your constituents do not want a squishy RINO. The GOP is dead whether your realize it or not. My only hope is you make a semblance of effort to represent the people by promoting policies that reflect America-first, limited government, and preservation of God-given rights.
