Yep, gas is already up around 25 cents in my area in about a week.

I'm in. Definitely going to be signing up for election related things, as well continuing to engage local legislature. Trying to educate myself more on general current government processes and re-educate myself on civics. I never in my life would thought I'd say this but if I had the knowledge I'd run for some office myself - not that I have any desire to actually do that but I see now that is how our country has gotten to this state. We the People let the establishment/aristocrats run for public office while we were content to keep our heads down and work as long as we were left alone. Well, the latter part certainly has gone out the window.

Too long I sat by the wayside, content to work my ass off and trying to deal with all the other stuff of personal life. I thought I was educating myself enough on politicians and platforms in order to cast informed votes, but obviously more is required than just selecting a button for a candidate or some such. I figured all the more intelligent and political aspiration leaning folks who excel at speaking would take care of the rest. Boy was I ever wrong.

As a complete novice with regards to attorneys, what type would I be looking for in such a scenario? I don't have a CCL so that isn't an option for me.

Do you retain an attorney? Is that a common practice that I missed out getting educated on? Or do you just reach out to someone in a phone book when the actual need would arise? Serious questions, since I see so many say to say "contact my attorney", I don't have one so am I just shit out of luck?

LOL, I'm a lifelong Saints fan - but I'm inclined to agree with you. After his spineless waffling at the slightest sign of opposition, then even wearing Jacob Blake's name on his helmet, I lost all respect for him.

I meant if I had happened to overhear such a statement. First time I've seen it and sure the story may sound a little outlandish but given today's environment who knows - it could've happened.

I don't eat vegetables these days, but I do miss cucumbers sometimes.

Is there any actual private messaging? Has there been any blockchain messaging development? Ugh.

I was going to pull the trigger on a Baofeng UV-5R from Amazon, had it in my cart from a couple days ago and appears they removed all the stock or all got purchased (there were quite a lot in stock as of then). Would prefer to get a non-Chinese one and not order from Amazon but everywhere else I looked was a good bit more price-wise. Guess still worth it for a true SHTF scenario.

Life has already been playing out like a movie more and more as of late it seems, what a fitting end to this chapter that would be!

At least Washington had Comte de Rochambeau to convince him to siege Yorktown, ultimately resulting in Cornwallis' surrender in 1781.
