I recall seeing a list of "just a" things around here before. "It's just two weeks to flatten the curve", "It's just a mask"... and so on. It's so true.
Makes me wonder, out of all the people that follow and do what they're told - are they truly just sheep and don't think for themselves or is it a mix of those and others who do see what is transpiring and are on board with it? The latter of course loves to throw it in your face if you disagree and try to appeal to your morality in some fashion - "Don't you care about other people?! But what about grandma?!"
If you point out the moving of goalposts or try to speak out with logic and reasoning, it just devolves into pure hatred and skyscreaming. They don't deal in facts, truth or logic. No critical thinking.

I understand wanting to watch sports. Football was my favorite, college especially. After the absolute absurdity of it all being used a platform to promote insane agenda, there was no way I could allow myself watch any game/sport this year. I expect that to continue for a long time, if not permanently

I feel so helpless. Desperately trying to do what I can though it feels like spinning wheels. Working on myself, trying to learn and exude patience. Trying to immerse myself in the principals of the founding fathers and study the Constitution/Declaration of Independence, etc. Writing and calling local legislators, working on getting involved in local election processes.
My life has largely been one filled with regrets and "what ifs", tired of expending energy on that since it is pointless. All I can do is try to live in the now and work towards the future, in hopes that somehow if enough of us unite we can effect some major change.

I was born early '80s and looking back the latter part of that decade and the '90s, they were the shit (Hell, the aughts weren't even that bad relatively speaking).
