O LORD, God of vengeance,
O God of vengeance, shine forth.
Rise up, O Judge of the earth;
render a reward to the proud.
How long will the wicked, O LORD,
how long will the wicked exult?
They pour out arrogant words;
all workers of iniquity boast.
They crush Your people, O LORD;
they oppress Your heritage.
They kill the widow and the foreigner;
they murder the fatherless.
They say, “The LORD does not see;
the God of Jacob pays no heed.”
Take notice, O senseless among the people!
O fools, when will you be wise?
He who affixed the ear, can He not hear?
He who formed the eye, can He not see?
He who admonishes the nations, does He not discipline?
He who teaches man, does He lack knowledge?
The LORD knows the thoughts of man,
that they are futile.
Blessed is the man You discipline, O LORD,
and teach from Your law,
to grant him relief from days of trouble,
until a pit is dug for the wicked.
For the LORD will not forsake His people;
He will never abandon His heritage.
Surely judgment will again be righteous,
and all the upright in heart will follow it.
Who will rise up for me against the wicked?
Who will stand for me against the workers of iniquity?
Unless the LORD had been my helper,
I would soon have dwelt in the abode of silence.
If I say, “My foot is slipping,”
Your loving devotion, O LORD, supports me.
When anxiety overwhelms me,
Your consolation delights my soul.
Can a corrupt throne be Your ally—
one devising mischief by decree?
They band together against the righteous
and condemn the innocent to death.b
But the LORD has been my stronghold,
and my God is my rock of refuge.
He will bring upon them their own iniquity
and destroy them for their wickedness.
The LORD our God will destroy them.
Do we have a good list of reliable, privacy-respecting domain registrars & hosting providers? I'm using google right now and would like to switch for obvious reasons.
The first section is a federal licensing requirement which raises the required age to be able to purchase a firearm to 21.
No other right enumerated in the Bill of Rights has a licensing requirement.
1A: You do not need a license to print a newspaper, write a blog online, speak in public, open a church, attend church, peaceably assemble, or petition the government. There are some city ordinances that require permits for marches or large gatherings. Whether they are constitutional is debatable, but they don't require every individual attending the march or gathering to have a permit.
3A: Don't need a license in order to reject housing soldiers on your property without consent.
4A: Don't need a license to be secure from unreasonable searches and seizures.
5A: No license needed to not testify against yourself, to require indictment by grand jury, be free from double jeopardy, or be compensated when the government takes your property.
6A: No license required for a speedy trial, the right to a lawyer, jury trial, knowing your accusers, knowing the charges against you, or compelling witnesses to testify as part of your defense.
7A: No license required to assert a trial by jury in a civil case.
8A: No license needed to not be executed by the State in a cruel or unusual way or to be free of excessive bail or fines.
9A: We've so far lost the fight that the people hold all rights not enumerated in the Constitution and its Amendments, but there's no license needed to try and retain them.
10A: Broad interpretation of the Interstate Commerce Clause in Article 1 Section 8 has combined with the Civil War, the 14th Amendment, and Incorporation Doctrine to all but eliminate States' rights.
When you examine the facts above, it becomes clear how ridiculous the restrictions we already have on our 2nd Amendment rights. There's more nonsense in the bill including them being able to take your firearms from you until after trial based on the low standard of a "preponderance of the evidence".
Get out and exercise your rights pedes. If you don't own a firearm, find a friend and/or take a class from your local firearm store. Call your congress-critters and tell them to oppose HR 5717 (links below).
