Oops, my bad. I meant "after" the two years, not "within". You're right.
My point was that she couls indeed "serve" as President for more or less ten years this way (if she were to take office... which she won't) - and then I got lostbin my own comment
No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this Article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this Article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this Article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.
If she were to replace him within the first two years of his (hypothetical) term, she would be able to get elected two more times.
EDIT: "If she were to replace him AFTER the first two years of his (hypothetical) term" is what my dumb ass should have written.
I can tell from some of the words and from seeing quite a few jokes in my time :-)
Seriously, though, the comment is absolutely over-the-top.
This is just another version of the "beep boop" comments and "let us enjoy human things together" comments. Or when everyone on T_D pretended to be a Russian.
The "Harry Reid Moral Compass":
"Romney didn't win, did he?" Reid said in response to Bash's question of whether he regretted what he had said about Romney.
Think about that logic for a minute. What Reid is saying is that it's entirely immaterial whether what he said about Romney and his taxes was true. All that mattered was that Romney didn't win.
Nonsense.
I don't know about the French casualty, but the Czech sergeant-major died in Sinai (Egypt), not in Germany.
There is no way there was a firefight in Frankfurt, a densely populated German city, and no one is reporting it. Firefights are huge news in most of Europe.
"I was told that I could monitor the vote count at a reasonable distance from 9 to 11... well, I... I told Bill that if, if Sandra's going to cheat while she's, while she's counting then I should be able to monitor the fraud while I'm there so I don't see why I should have to take twenty steps back because I enjoy monitoring voter fraud from 9 to 11..."
Honey badger don't care. Honey badger don't give a shit.
Our Literature teacher back in high school ridiculed a student for not knowing the date of the Good Friday. Not the current year's Good Friday, mind you, nor the original Good Friday; just the date of Good Friday, because it happened to be mentioned in a novel we were reading. A novel taking place a hundred years ago.
Hung like a gorilla.
