Lel, 4chan is a shitposting imageboard site that can sometimes contain actual information of happenings and will sometimes have people doing investigative shenanigans. 4chan has been around since 2004 (I've been browsing it occasionally since 2006) so it has a pretty long and storied history. Today it's kind of a shadow of it's former self and it a good bit more moderated (jannied) than it used to be.
These people wouldn't know freedom even if it came in guns blazing on the back of a screaming eagle carrying a flag. In fact, they are so far gone they resist it at every turn. They like being subservient because they don't like having to deal with the weight of being fully responsible for themselves.
