I used to wonder how the National Socialist party in 1930's Germany managed to get so much support. How did a population willingly submit to the rising communist power? How did they get so many people to walk around with swastika armbands on their sleeves? That symbolic display that allowed you into the shops, the banks, the restaurants, and get all the special privileges. How could so much fear be spread into the population by blaming it on a disease (after all that's how they referred to their so-called inferiors)? And then the 21st century hit and it all became clear to me.
Canadian here who has wished to be an American since a teen (early 50's now). One thing I have noticed with all the private business's being forced to close down while the corporate sector, especially through media, is encouraging expenditures at their open stores. It makes me suspicious that this was also part of the intent to take advantage of the so called pandemic. Edit: It seems to me like they are trying to eliminate the private sector.
