It's a hope for the best plan for the worst, with the worst being so bad that a lotta people are sitting there and crying. My mind says something is happening. My emotions have me dooming. It does not help that all we can do is watch.
I'd be sad. I believe he's done a lot in the background and is further doing it. I wouldn't blame him if he feels he can't do it in public. I'd just be sad.
And probably a bit scared, because that means that things are worse than we can see.
Personally I consider it one of those academic theories that some ivory tower dipshit conceived of. There's a rather horrific trend of misanthropic thought through intellectual circles that boils down to I Hate Humans.

They've been punting the cases like this using whatever reasoning they can make up. Also Trump appointee doesn't always mean they're going to rule with us. Can't have a 100% success rate with that considering how easy it is to subvert people.
No FEDERAL Law. Note the wording. The dismissal basically states that 'this is a federal court. You haven't presented evidence that federal laws are being broken. It's a bit of a mindbending ruling because it sort of sidesteps the actual issues the case is bringing up.

We'll get more clarification later if it's important I'd think.
He's likely dangling it in the background as a threat. Either play ball or we break you. And we do have some support at the local level too. It's the Senate specifically that's the problem. That changes slowly by design.
Part of why Trump got smacked around here is because he bulled in and upset a bunch of old rinos who specifically lashed out in return. Hence him stepping back a bit and being quiet by my guess. He's planning and letting things settle.
