Have a place in Eldora. Arapaho is another great tall peak near Long’s peak that could use a flag like that!

Greed.. This right here. I honestly really appreciate this comment. This is the time I enjoy educating fellow pepds who are angry for no reason.

Since time immemorial and pre-industrial, 'greed' has been the accusation hurled at the rich by the concrete-bound illiterates who were unable to conceive of the source of wealth or of the motivation of those who produce it.

You ask can I truthfully say what I did. Yup. You see just like everything Trump says that gets turns around, you have to remember this happens to other too. Espitally doctors. You listen to the news that says "doctors say this" and you believe it but they never bring out those doctors.

For my background. ICU doctor. Professor. Still Practice about 10-15 days a month. And degrees in business as well. Also own a billing company. But most important for a short time vetted former mod on old site.

Now everyone in this thread come on in and lets take this apart.

The central thesis is that I am greedy bastard and you want cheaper health care.

I would like to start with this great quote from Atlas Shrugged regarding being a doctor:

Do you know the kind of skill it demands, and the years of passionate, merciless, excruciating devotion that go to acquire that skill? That was what I could not place at the disposal of men whose sole qualification to rule me was their capacity to spout the fraudulent generalities that got them elected to the privilege of enforcing their wishes at the point of a gun. I would not let them dictate the purpose for which my years of study had been spent, or the conditions of my work, or my choice of patients, or the amount of my reward. I observed that in all the discussions that preceded the enslavement of medicine, men discussed everything — except the desires of the doctors.>

It goes on and this is important so please read:

Men considered only the ‘welfare’ of the patients, with no thought for those who were to provide it. That a doctor should have any right, desire or choice in the matter, was regarded as irrelevant selfishness; his is not to choose, they said, but ‘to serve.’ That a man’s willing to work under compulsion is too dangerous a brute to entrust with a job in the stockyards — never occurred to those who proposed to help the sick by making life impossible for the healthy. I have often wondered at the smugness at which people assert their right to enslave me, to control my work, to force my will, to violate my conscience, to stifle my mind — yet what is it they expect to depend on, when they lie on an operating table under my hands?>

Because here is the dirty secret even liberal rags will bitch and moan that your doctor is more likely to be a Republican

We have been called "the forgotten man of socialized medicine.” And this is true and what you are seem to be in favor of.

If you spend any time on this site you would see the many doctors who twitter feeds have been axed for speaking out and against much of what has happened with COVID.

But I do not want to get side tracked, as again you seem to care about cost. Let me make this clear. I want you to be fucking rich. I want you to have nice fucking shit. It is awesome. Money is great. I want people making money. I want all my fellow peds to look up to people who have made money and strive to kick ass and make more. I have an amazing wife, house, boat, dog guns life etc. No one should be made to feel bad for making money. But what prices doctors make is a very hard thing to understand and is set up that way on purpose. What is mean but his is that billing however is not something we set prices on. Next time you see a doctor ask what they make a day. They probably know. We are paid in such convoluted and different ways that it is hard to make sense. You have some doctors who are salary and some are RVU and everything in between. Yeah you have cash doctors too but they (for the most part don’t typically deal with insurance companies the way most do).

You asked me to “If that’s what you’re saying then acknowledge that the majority and minority of doctors are pussies for not speaking up publicly when they could have.” I would argue we have been and do. Yet we are silenced by the same groups that have opposed Trump and have sought to divide and harm our patients through all means of machiavellian machinations.

I am not going to tell people I am a doctor ever again, because I am afraid they will think I am a liberal.

He was not on Trump's side before he won. He took forever to turn around and now he has left us too. I am done with him too.

Let me be clear. I have been in practice long enough to say this is correct.

It is the least amount of work. And in my expert medical option the most manly way to cook a turkey.

This is the way.

I injected it on Monday and added a rub.

Then tomorrow I will reinject in the morning with 1/2 a beer and and juice at bottom for each bird.

Drop in oil while drinking wiskey (which is a must as it helps with any burns). And stand around it with the guys as we congratulate ourselves for being men.

50 lbs of Cajun fried turkey later and I will be back here to wish you all a amazing Thanksgiving!
