There are several Trucking Unions who have publicly stated that they will not deliver to cities or states that Defund police. Similar happened in Venezuela. Trucks are raided when they hit big cities, so few do the runs. It usually ends with Truckers being offered MUCH more to do the runs. That cost is then pushed onto the consumer in these cities, and then multiplied by the lack of supply, and very high demand.
Kids is just an excuse. If you look at most civil war simulations, lefty cities are often cut off from food, water, or electricity. This inevitably leads to them having to fight on 2 fronts, and most simulations show they don't have the resources to fight on one.
As we've seen this year, many police will do what they are told without question. Most people will willfully hand over their guns when they come knocking. When they come knocking in rural areas however, they might get the ammo first...
