Edit: sorry, been working and thedonalding all day. Very tired. Many astrophysicists seem to be on the side of the dissenting natives for some Godforsaken reason. I have empathy for them in a way, but those telescopes on Mauna Kea are discovering more about the universe than they could ever dream about, so they should be 100% supportive. I think most of the natives have a realistic view that the telescopes should be built and used for the education of mankind. I think there is a very vocal minority that try to block it.

I try to make friends with people from church, or our neighbors. Much easier to hang around than academic types. It's easy to do that here in Texas. Lots of excellent based people around.
I am a high-energy astrophysicist (it means I study objects in the universe that emit extraordinarily high amounts of radiation in the form of various wavelengths of light, other subatomic particles, or gravitational waves). It is cool because now I am also a high-energy high-energy astrophysicist.

Haha thanks! I've had lucid dreams my whole life. I can recall with a near photographic memory hundreds of particularly strong ones I've had over the years from when I was a young kid to now. Most all of the dreams are actually nightmares, so it sucks a little bit. Oftentimes they are so real, I am not able to distinguish them from waking reality.
