There is this habit amongst most of America to go back to old habits now that the pressure has been dialed down. As I read through 1984, the way Winston talks about the proles is quite similar to Americans. That they return to an almost ancestral way of just living life regardless of the injustices imposed by the Party.
We can't just go back to watching Fox News, or going to movies, or video gaming as a normal course of life. Nothing is the same anymore. We can't just expect to show up in two years and give it the vote once more.
Republicans and Democrats are traitors to this nation. They will steamroll us proles, if you will, so long as we don't get uppity and complain. We are the governed but we are not subjects.
It is time to shake off the dust of indifference and let the world know that we are more powerful than they think. We need to let everyone know just how powerful our lungs truly are. That starts with what we can control.
We can control how our dollars at home are spent. We can control how our time is spent. We can control how our conversations flow. We have immense power to create a real difference in our local worlds. It would sadden me to see so many of you return to life as it once was. It would sadden me if I did the same.

Second of all, if you are going to abandon the GOP, you are in for a rough time. Go ahead and become Libertarian and join irrelevancy. That is what will happen. There are two parties in this country and everyone else is just goofing off, siphoning off votes because "reasons".
The truth of the matter is this, if you want to effect change in this country, you will do it through the GOP or you won't do it at all. You will do this by taking over the GOP at every level. It starts at the local level and yes that is a humbling thing to say. You have to start local if you want to get to the national level. You have to stop watching fucking sportsball, drop the damnable video games, and devote yourself to a higher national purpose.
The GOP is only the way that it is because of the participants. Time to force those participants out. We know them for the backstabbing swamp and that swamp is everywhere. It isn't just in DC. It is in our counties, our towns, our state legislatures.
We have to go out into the world. We know our vote no longer matters. We need to make our presence matter 74 million strong.
The impeachment of Trump doesn't make sense if the system is completely rigged. It wouldn't matter if Trump could run again or not.
The election was completely rigged this time, to doubt that is to doubt reality. I think what we are going to see going forward is that states are going to fix their election systems over the next four years. They have no choice and I think the rigging of an election will be even harder to do in four years. Hence the push for the removal of the electoral college, the impeachment of Trump, the banning of MAGA rallies, the investigation of Trump officials, etc.
Rigging the election in 2020 was their only possibility and I'd be willing to bet it will be harder to rig in 2024. Impeach Trump and all you are left with is impotent shitty Romneyesque republicans and the elections go back to the previous normal.

I've seen plenty of posts this morning about starting a new party because people are fed up with the republicans and I completely agree with the sentiment. However...
The problem is that people who are smarter than me with more free time have tried this before. We have the Libertarian Party, the Green Party, the Constitution Party, etc; and for all their merits, their only role is to screw up an election.
To start a new party that is successful and eclipses the Republican party is to require the total decimation and collapse of that Republican party. Honestly, how likely do you think such a collapse is going to happen? I will tell you; it is not going to happen.
I know some people point to the Whig Party as an example but Whig's just became the Republican party. A one time event as the country moved from the chaos of revolution and the establishment of the republic to the leader of the free world.
So this is what I'm working on which I think is a better idea and I beg of you, please hear me out while I try to keep this short.
In my area of Washington I'm surrounded by like minded individuals that are disaffected Republicans but fans of Trump's message of patriotism and America first.
What we are walking towards is forming a group of men that will meet weekly to discuss how we are going to begin to take over the levers of government, starting at the local level.
The goal is to define the principles which will be the lens from which everything is viewed through and recruit more men and expand the group. My initial intent is to make this group an organizing means to get people elected into the local governments and fix the damned problems. Regional group of 10,000 individuals can easily generate 50,000 dollars for a single candidate; which for local elections is huge. I say this because the one campaign I worked on for a local official who was up for reelection bragged about the $2500 war-chest they had that scared off any contenders.
The mission of this group is to run candidates as republicans, get them in office, but maintain the meeting of the group weekly especially with the newly elected candidate to office. We are trying to fix our country and it starts in our own backyards. Jordan Peterson once said that before you tackle the problems of the world, you need to make sure you can clean your room first. We might want to tackle the problems of America but we can't do much until we fix our local problems.
This isn't to make money and this isn't to be reimbursed for your time. The Founding Fathers dedicated their lives, families, and good fortunes for the cause of liberty. I think asking myself and others to do as they did is asking one to literally live up to their duty as a citizen. We can whine about rights all day long, but if the state can take them away, then it is time to take the state back by more than just casting a single vote.
My intent is to basically take over the republican party and we are prime to do it. We have a forum from which we can communicate internationally with TDW. We are, all of us, pissed off that they dare over play their hand. We are disaffected that republicans and democrats are a uniparty. It is time to stop playing their game.
They want us to vote or not-vote, but mainly they want us to shut the fuck up. They do not want us meeting, which is why the make all these different rules that set the bar to disenfranchise and demoralize us. I'm not interested in playing by established norms nor am I interested in playing by their rules.

I've been mulling this over in my head today and here is my opinion. Gaige Grosskreutz was not carrying a real gun that night.
He had the prime position to kill Kyle after Skate-N-Die took a bullet to the chest. Kyle was in the inferior position weapon not trained on Arm-man. Arm-man instead of simply pointing and shooting cowered and then decided to charge at Kyle.
Now my buddy thinks maybe the dude was an idiot and I'm willing to concede that point as plausible. It just doesn't make sense since he was chasing him down and had every opportunity and was tactically (in my opinion) in a superior position to end Kyle.
I'm reminded of that scene in Snatch with the replica gun.
My buddy calls me, tells me to type in any three or four digit number and the following phrase "new cases" you will get some news article matching the exact number. I know it worked perfectly with three digit numbers and has been mostly successful with four digit numbers. I found it weird.
