That's partially true. Firefox has its own browser engine, but most browsers are built on top of chromium, a fully open source browser (not to confuse with Chrome). Then the browsers Chrome, Brave, Safari, Edge, Opera, all use chromium as base + they add significant features on top of it. Chrome adds google features on top of chromium. Brave adds brave features on top of chromium. For instance, the best privacy protection nowadays is on Brave, built natively as an extension to chromium. This is not just different settings, it's real feature. Brave in the end is still fully open source, Chrome on the other hand adds lots of closed source features hiding from users many things it does in the background.
Quit staying in the defensive. The left does not play by the rules, they use your own rule to own you. They don't care about insurrection: they fucking did autonomous zones in the middle of seattle and portland. Own it: "yes, I fucking want to get rid of a corrupt government if it embraces tyranny because I love our country and its constitution". Call them the corrupt, degenerated, evil, racist, segregationist, fascist rats they are. And remember them about the 1776 insurrection. 1A explicitly forbids government to regulate your speech. You can talk about insurrection all you want.
I disagree, and the words matter. An insurrection is when you go against the ruling class. What happened (and is still happening) is an insurrection. Just like there was an insurrection in 1776. When a government is corrupt, we do a revolution which includes insurrection. This country is based on "we don't trust government and the bill of rights is there to protect the citizens against government if it ever becomes a tyranny". People are rising up against a corrupt government. This should be the message.
They only censor illegal activities, spam and some times porn if it's done in a bizarre way (like sending poo porn to disgust other people and without the NSFW flag). Anything else it's up to you to create and share a moderation list.
