Well, we all thought the big problem for our US democracy was Citizens United/Koch Brothers big money in politics. Silly us; turns out that money isn't all that important if you can conflate entertainment with the electoral process. Trump masters TV, TV so-called news picks up and repeats and repeats to death this opinionated blowhard and his hairbrained ideas, free-floating discontent attaches to a seeming strongman and we're off and running. JFK, Jr would be delighted by all this as his "George" magazine saw celebrity politics coming. The magazine struggled as it was ahead of its time but now looks prescient. George, of course, played the development pretty lightly, basically for charm and gossip, like People, but what we are dealing with now is dead serious. How does this get handled in the general? Secretary Clinton is not an entertainer, and not a celebrity in the Trump, Kardashian mold; what can she do to offset this? I'm certain the poll-directed insiders are sure things will default to policy as soon as the conventions are over, but I think not. And as I've mentioned, we've all been quite content to demean government, drop civics and in general conspire to produce an unaware and compliant citizenry. The unawareness remains strong but compliance is obviously fading rapidly. This problem demands some serious, serious thinking - and not just poll driven, demographically-inspired messaging.
Rubio's press conference yesterday AM was good and should be repeated in its entirety, not just in nibbles. I will attend the Clinton fundraiser here next week but as I can only afford the low level of participation may just get to wave without a "hello."
I fear we are all now trying to navigate a set of forces that cannot be simply explained or fully understood, so it is and will reamin interesting!

They want a stupid and unaware populace for the reasons you mentioned, yes, however their control is waning day by day. Look at these riots, they unleashed something they couldn't control and a lot of shit that they did not want to happen ended up happening because that compliance is gone.
I did the same. It's as undemocratic a thing as I can think of, they only allow the top 2 vote getters in a primary to end up on the ballot in November, which means it's going to be the Dem who won the primary and the Dem that came in 2nd most of the time. It completely removes 3rd parties as an option just so they can form a tighter stranglehold with dem control over the state.

The behavior of these people has definitely taught me that there is a need for human beings to feel spiritual and to follow a religion, and those who turn away from God do not turn away from religious behavior, but merely turn towards idolatry.
I have long been a proponent over the President ignoring what the court does until the Supreme Court hears it because almost every one of these bullshit injunctions inevitably ends up getting overturned and it's usually not even a 5-4 party line vote either.
The only reason to be against this is the idea that it establishes precedent that future Presidents can do as they please until SCOTUS issues a ruling, but to act like that hasn't already occurred is ignorant. It's important to remember the enemy doesn't play by the rules and will already do as they please, establishing checks and balances is what the founding fathers did after they kicked the Monarchists out of the country, not before.

yeah I feel like the biggest thing going against the President is that he actually accomplished so many things not just in the first 100 days but the first fucking week that people have already forgotten a lot of it and that it was so obvious by how much ass he was kicking that no politician was even trying to do anything productive for the country since the end of the cold war.

I personally predict not just a Trump win but another bigly win like in 2016 from the electoral college, but for Trump to again lose the popular vote because California and New York will throw out so many Biden votes that the vote totals for both candidates will suspiciously add up to more votes than there are registered voters in the entire country.

and shitty tattoos are so common place now that it's like finding a legit unicorn for somebody without any tattoos at all, it's absolutely insane.
i personally don't use any. eat real food because there are more nutrients than just the protein available and you don't want to miss out on that. especially since muscle building requires a caloric surplus, if you want to gain muscle you have to eat like it's your job and you always need more food.
also more important than what to eat is getting good sleep. lot of people fuck this up and it's the biggest gains killer there is. sleep is way more important than anything else. not to say that what youre eating is irrelevant but it's generally like wondering what color to paint your house while your kitchen is on fire, there's a bigger problem to worry about.
