Yes that’s how SCOTUS works. If they choose to grant a writ of certiorari, that means they will hear the case in the future.

Originally I just thought they got onto the steps/balcony area and refused to leave, waving flags. That would have had better optics than breaking into the building.

I’ve just been interested lately in if they’re using mass warrantless cell phone data, or mass facial recognition. Either one is concerning for privacy rights.

It’s easy to celebrate this if the charges were true, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a decent amount of people in there that were falsely accused and convicted.

From what I remember in old posts, people were bringing bear spray and related gear to protect from antifa attackers. I doubt they intended to use it on the cops, but probably got angry once they were pepper sprayed themselves.

I know they have chapter leaders, but they don’t have a command structure from what it seems. It’s not like every member was in on it.

I guess people are worried about getting in trouble. It’s not illegal to advocate violence necessarily though. As long as there isn’t an actual threat, or inciting imminent violence. For example “abortionist should be killed” is perfectly legal speech. It’s advocating or condoning, with no actual threat.

I’m not sure that I hate these individuals, but I hate what they are. I don’t think they even realize what they believe is wrong. They have been completely brainwashed to devalue human life, and it’s crazy to see how effective propaganda has been at doing this. I never believed in a God before, but stuff like this makes me start to believe in Satan.
