It doesn't have to be tied to your job. You can get your own plan. But prior to Obamacare I believe it was more expensive to get your own plan than to take your employer's plan.
The employer can write off the expense of paying for your insurance. It's beneficial to them and you if it is cheaper than getting it on your own. But Obamacare kind of upended the market.
It's illogical for them to be pissy about you becoming a police officer.
That tells you right there that there is something wrong with them. You weren't a bad person before, but now you are for wanting to stop crime.
They are all pro-crime in my eyes. Cus if people like them make good people not want to become cops, then there won't be any cops or only the so called bad cops will still be cops... Which is what they were against I thought.
The main problem with SS for me is you pay into it at 6.2% of your income for say 18-60 years of working. 42 years of that money going into a 401K would make me a millionaire just from that money.
Instead you get crap money given back to you. People would be better off if SS was forced into a 401K.
