No one actually wants to fix it as that means taking a risk politically but everyone wants to look like they are working to fix it so they can pass the buck when it comes to reelection.

Peer pressure is a very real thing and a prime example of that is how the left have come to dominate so much. One of the most sad things is how well cancel culture has worked despite the leftists wackos that do it not even being that large in number, they have just never been opposed.
The China serving sycophants will most certainly laugh when patriots get jailed for transporting guns across state line or breaking DC's gun laws.
I think violence is needed but it must be a smart and tactical use of it, not just patriots getting jailed without doing anything or getting shot by police snipers perched on top of the capital building.
