The problem with this thought is that trump himself made the left go full speed ahead to the left. Hillary would have been at least somewhat reserved compared to what we are about to experience. They have zero restraint anymore in what they will do. They have every excuse in the book to go as authoritarian as they want. This was the gamble. Trump had to win or it was all for naught.
That isnt to say its over. But the balance just shifted to an enormous degree away from us.
