I have an thought that could maybe help defeat the KungFlu – it has to do with temperature - and I'd like some feedback.

What I've learned of the risk groups, they all seem to have low temperature in common.

  1. Age is huge, hits older people harder.

  2. Testicles have been found to be reservoirs for the virus.

  3. Men are at a greater risk. All of these risk groups are basically more efficient incubators, and all of the successful (virus producing) organs are significantly lower than 98.6 degrees.

  4. Age is the biggest risk factor - and body temperature is relative to age. Body temperature steadily diminishes with age, beginning to lower at age 60-65 and lowering to as much as 3 degrees in 80+ year olds. So even though the lungs are supposed to thermoregulate the lungs to normal body temperature, in the older population the lungs would be equal to body temperature and therefore be a degree or more lower.

  5. The testicles are 3 degrees cooler than the body.

  6. Men's bodies are 0.4 degrees cooler than women on average.

A big low risk group is children. Turns out kids body temperatures are generally higher than in adults.

So I think this could mean something if all the risk groups can be traced to organ temperature. And if that's the case maybe the concept could lead to a successful treatment?

I have an idea that I think could lead to a treatment – it has to do with temperature. What I've learned of the risk groups, they all seem to have low temperature in common. The virus reproduces in high rates in the lungs. Men are at a slighter greater risk. And number one risk factor is age, much more virulent in older people. The kicker I learned about was this weekend – the testicles are a reservoir for the virus. All of these risk groups and coronavirus incubator organs are lower temperature than an average body.

The lungs are cooler because of evaporative cooling and breathing in cooler than body air, or at least the fluids in contact with the air would be cooler. The testicles are 3 degrees cooler than the body. Men are 0.4 degrees cooler than women on average. And it turns out that the biggest risk factor – age – varies greatly in older people. Body temperature steadily diminishes with age, lowering to as much as 3 degrees in 80+ year olds. Children have a very low risk factor and their temperature is slightly higher than adults. I think this could be something significant...
