Just gonna add my 2 cents. I love Trump and am enjoying his presidency so much even in the midst of the REEEEEs (maybe partly because of the REEEEs).
But even if (when) Trump wins, it's only for four more years. And I'm not cool enough to find ya'll again when this site is no longer relevant (if that happens). I wasn't on all the cool sites prior to thedonald.win. And I don't kid myself enough to think I'll find the epicenter again.
I just want you to know if you're reading this that you are as important as Trump to me. I may not know you personally. But my life is better knowing that you are out there. You are the spirit of America. Not trying to be cringy. But seriously, I mean it.
I've been privileged to be here and to see this.
I'm in Texas too. And if you read your registration form I think you'll find it says that your registration takes effect 30 days after they receive it.
"Your voter registration will become effective 30 days after it is received on your 18th birthday, whichever is later. Your registration must be effective on or before an election day in order to vote in that election."
The typo above (the lack of "or") is in the form itself.
I sent my registration in a little over 30 days ago and was only able to pull my information up on their online voter registration checking page late last week.
You're cutting it pretty close.
But provided they're aren't problems with the mail and they actually receive it very soon you'll probably make it.
And on top of that, the left are trying to tear down what We (common decent people) did. They are not, as crazyfingers619 said, the people who "DO SHIT"
The left doesn't do shit, they destroy (and/or steal) the shit that others do.
He's not right. The only thing the poster he intended to reply to is guilty of is being late to finally realize the full scope of the problem. And probably the only reason it took them so long is because they are a decent person so they automatically assumed that the other side was decent too and wasn't purposefully working to undermine the country in every way they possibly could. Therefore they discounted the evidence that might have led them to the conclusion sooner.
The unthinkable is unthinkable and for a truly decent person such villainy is unthinkable. On top of that they are not wrong! our situation is dire!!
Don't shit on people for being late to the party. Welcome them! And then ask them to participate or help them figure out how to participate.
Instead of condescendingly berating them for not getting here sooner.
Ostracising potential allies, even if at present they are shocked and forlorn, is not an effective counter to the left's fanaticism.
Yeah judges include passing and inconsequential references in their rulings all the time. And then other judges concur with those decisions but that doesn’t reflect on their judgment or positions because they only agreed with part of the decision and certainly not the “passing and inconsequential” justifications it contained.
You’re an idiot.
Right back at ya.
Telling me to shut the fuck up in all caps while providing nothing but a repetitive demand for an unreasonable level of justification of my healthy skepticism that ACB is not potentially another Roberts in disguise, while every RINO in the senate reverses their opposition to a pre-election appointment...
All while telling me that rulings she concurred with don’t count because they aren’t in her own words...
is proof to me that you are a totally disingenuous shill. LOL
So your argument is that since she didn’t write the actual text of a decision which cited as support a decision that you yourself agree is concerning, but instead only concurred with it, It has no bearing on her jurisprudence?
That makes no sense. Judges are accountable for their rulings and decisions even if they aren’t the one who actually wrote the text they are agreeing with.
No one has been saying she is definitely a bad pick. But there is more than enough reason to be skeptical. Particularly considering the gravity of a lifetime appointment.
You agree the decision was concerning. And while Barrett didn’t write it the decision she supported did cite it and therefore rely on it.
Meaning she relied on a decision that you yourself admit is concerning to form her judgment on an issue.
And you can’t seem to wrap your head around the fact that her reliance on a concerning (your own words) precedent to inform her views on an important issue is actually concerning to some of us?
I’m beginning to think that you’re the shill. For ACB.
I agree, it is a far more advantageous position to be in. But a billion is a much higher hurdle to reach too.
If you can find a way to double a thousand to two thousand why can you not, in theory, do it again? and again 1,000 times.
Just like you’d have to do to your first million a thousand times to reach a billion.
And it’s not that hard to turn a thousand into two thousand. People do it all the time.
My next door neighbors basically live off buying and selling junk and fixing it up. People start Amazon accounts selling stuff they buy at thrift stores and make a living off of it.
It’s not easy. But it’s not harder than making consistently profitable real estate deals.
And that’s not even to mention that you can get into real estate with 1,000 bucks too. I bought an option on a house once for a hundred bucks. If I could have found a buyer in the two month option period I would have pocketed the money I sold it for (in excess of my optioned price)... it’s called flipping houses.
I didn’t because that wasn’t my goal. But the point is that you don’t need a million dollars to make money in real estate.
And it’s no harder to turn $1,000 into $2,000 than it is to turn 1,000,000 into 2,000,000. And on from there.
That’s ridiculous. Like $1,000 gets you nothing but $1,000,000 buys you a seat at the big boys table and guarantees you a billion (thousand million)
You can’t sit at the big boys table with $1,000. But you can’t sit at the super big boys table with $1,000,000 either.
Yes, it takes a long time to go from $1,000 to $1,000,000 with lots of incremental transactions along the way all with the potential for loss...
just like it takes lots of time, skill, and savvy to go from $1,000,000 to $1,000,000,000 with lots of incremental transactions along the way all with the potential for loss.
Trump starting with a million dollars in no way guaranteed he’d end up with a billion.
But that’s the argument you seem to be making... “because he got to sit at the big boys table”
And you literally said going from a milllion to a billion was passionless. Like Trump hasn’t shown more passion than almost any public figure you could conceivably name. Both in his presidency and even before (there’s a reason he was a household name)
Give me a break
Ugh. Have you been reading KafkaGoesWest’s posts? There’s 100 times more substance there than in anything you’ve posted.
You’re essentially arguing for us all to just rubber stamp anything our side proposes without thought... in other words you want us to be just like the left.
And you’re marginalizing and hurling epithets (shill, concern troll) against any discussion you disagree with. Again just like the left.
Yes. I do. And I support his pick out of both that conviction and a trust in him that he has earned.
Even if he’s made some bad picks in the past he’s waded through more shit than anyone I’ve ever seen and he’s still here fighting.
But even though I support him and his choice it is a lifetime appointment and I am worried. And talking about that worry is neither concern trolling, nor shilling, nor disloyalty.
Especially not when it is clearly rational and very informed discussion like KafkaGoesWest’s posts.
Lol. Did you ever stop to wonder why all the RINOs (including Murkowski) suddenly stopped saying they’d oppose a pre election nomination as soon as it was whispered that it would be ACB?
Do you think they suddenly stopped being RINOs? Or do you think there just might be something concerning in all of them flipping to support?
How blind do you have to be not to be at least a little worried by that?
Thanks for being so informed and for sharing. I think you’re right and wish more could see it. I also wish more people could see past their noses and would wonder why CNN is suddenly running stories with an uncharacteristically not completely anti-trump spin.
I don’t think CNN gives one bleep about a hint of fairness. I think CNN is pro ACB.
And while they can’t unindoctrinate all their mindless NPC followers on a dime, they can signal to those in power that it’s ok to let this one through.
Yes. But this was a really great list of single clips. With commentary. One at a time instead of all consolidated, and each unedited. I could have sworn I saved it.
Ugh. Dang it!
