I fear this is a cover for when they don't find someone responsible. The timing of the broadcasted message right before the explosive is too impressive. If someone initiated det in the vehicle at the right time it would be someone who would have to be extremely dedicated. Someone dedicated enough to det on a cadence would have to be someone either short sighted (intelligent enough to do more and chose not to), or a fanatic which given the lack of religious targeting seems less likely.

No, not at all. The OKC bombing was in a Uhaul like vehicle. That could hold a LOT more than an RV if you include stacking and mounting positions. OKC bombing was fert as well. Well, it's weird. I agree blast seemed not to be centered. Explosives travel towards least resistance (basic physics), so it was interesting to see the explosive travel towards the right (center of the road) as opposed to towards the building. I wonder what would be in the RV to make it blow as such. Were there other items in the RV (likely)? If so did they fail to det? I don't think so given the aftermath photos. Just strange. Just saying, if it was directional or even an EFP we would see more damage where directed, unless it was a secondary explosive fuel source such as a fuel just to create heat. Strange indeed.
I don't think it was to kill cops. I think it was targeting the AT&T building. If it was to kill cops it would've been done differently. I think the perps genuinely didn't want to hurt people. With the warnings and what not. They gave a 30 min warning before triggering the device. EOD is a specialized field, especially for local PD even if a big city. EOD is not a populous division on Police forces, they have a duty phone more than likely and chilling with fam for Christmas. Time to respond would probably be >1 hour at least given the holiday. Not to mention getting out the bot and moving into pos to eval. This was done to not kill anyone.

What impresses me is the heat. Aftermath photos show trees blown down, but not out. C4 with an explosive rate so high would be out of the picture. The blackness surrounding indicates high temperatures and less explosive force outward in terms of velocity. Vics igniting and having secondary pops with fuel tanks would also be significant. Too early to tell. If it's commercial or C4 that's all tracked in different manners.
