I actually met a few Americans who “escaped” here to Japan after the 2016 election. These people put zero effort into assimilating and constantly bitch when something is different than how it is in America. I have a lot of family and relatives on Kauai. I talked to my mom recently and she told me that most of them are voting for Trump.

I’ve met a lot of older Japanese who have a lot of praise for Trump mainly because of his stance on China. A lot of people were excited when he came to Tokyo.
