It probably means that the kumbaya between Pelosi and McTurtle has been overturned. They won’t be able to keep 2/3rds of their chambers together to overcome a veto and the government won’t be funded and will go into “shut down“.
They cannot “block” a veto from happening, but they can hold a vote to override it after it has happened.
They fear any law that they haven’t corrupted.
I was afraid of that. I posted this early (for me) and didn’t know if the joke would land. Apparently it missed. I was trying to say that Nancy is worse than the nazis because they liked their country and she doesn’t like hers.
Maybe I should have done that last sentence in all caps or something.
I think President Trump has reclaimed some momentum. He has perhaps been convinced to be more passive and hands-off since the election, but I think we are starting to see him switch to offense and (hopefully for my salt futures position) offensive.

Your second point while correct, lacks important nuance. It should read “Very stable genius”.
Second time today I heard “plenary”. I think that is one of their new stack lines on the state legislatures. If they have plenty authority to act, they do not need a court order OR a governor to call a special session.
In a normal year, this would be laughed out of the building at the Supreme Court as an unconstitutional limit on the President’s War Powers, but it’s 2020.
He can redeem himself by voting against overturning Trump’s veto in my book.

There are a lot of moving pieces, and I’m no longer confident myself that Trump is 100% going to prevail (I felt doom-y myself yesterday).
But there are paths forward. There are people, smart people, who are working hard. And maybe we’ll get a second shot at having a republic.
