Like I've said on multiple posts, ignore the obnoxious huge signs saying you have to have one to enter...or whatever stupid shit it says. We've been doing it probably 5-6 months now. Given at first, we didn't want to deal with any shit, plus we didn't go a lot of places. We just wanted to get what we were there for and get out. Then we realized they'd abuse it, which they have, and it would never go away. Which it hasn't. So we said fuck it. Threw them away, and refuse. Had to leave a few places to make a point. But most places just ask if you want one, and then most people are too much of a pussy to say anything. You occasionally run into these power hungry dicks who say something and are typically rude about it. I typically try to be nice saying no I don't need one and no I don't have one. One bitch stopped me at joann's...this was my first encounter. I put my stuff up and left. Second one, asshole gay dude told me I couldn't use his SELF checkout without one. Left my shit in front of him on the floor and walked out.
Yeah white woman here and so many of them are straight up idiots...it's sad this is what we're becoming. I think some people maybe have a need to try to be there for you, or to say the right thing? I don't know. I don't do that to people. I just say what I feel, and people tend to feel like pouring out their souls to me. A big part of why I majored in psychology...it fascinates me. And I rather enjoy listening to people even ones I don't know well and just trying to help or give them advice. Something I've done well with so far. But my job has nothing to do with psychology, so maybe that's good too. Also my mom was an alcoholic so I have that too to relate with...among other things. Just that's more common among us all.

Yep they want to create empathy out of nothing. And/or when it is not needed. And if you tell them you don't need it, they attack you. Happened earlier to me. I am a very empathetic person, but this because I've experienced a lot in my life I can relate on a deeper level when people need that empathy. Example: when my friends lose their parents. I lost both mine by the time I was 18. No one can talk to you about it that hasn't experienced jt. They don't say the right things. They typically say what a "sympathetic person" says. Which sometimes feels worse.

I do understand that sometimes your jobs gonna require that shit. Sometimes there's no avoiding it. But the employees who confront you and are just downright rude...it's unnecessary. Or the customers who do it too. It's just self-righteous bullshit. I can't stand it. Employees who ask if I need or want one...I politely tell them no. I've never been rude to anyone, one because I don't want to end up on someone's shitty tik tok. And two because I'm overall a nice person. I understand some employers may tell the employees they have enforce it. But you can tell who's told they have to, and who WANTS To enforce it.
