The video was very likely to be real, he said there'll be an orderly transition and denounced the violence, that really isn't a big deal. They've been talking about transitions of power for 2 months now, it was just to appease the media and make it clear that he didn't support the violence.
Seriously who gives a fuck if it was fake, he said the same stuff that was already being said that day. He gave no new information. "Orderly transition of power", denouncing violence, we'd heard it 4 times that day from sources close to Trump, including Kayleigh, he said nothing new.
It could actually be because he didn't expect people to get violent and storm the building.
Enthusiastic patriots may have genuinely ruined his plans.
But you'd have to be so fucking stupid to think that inviting millions of people to the swamp and telling them that their rights are being stripped from them and that China is taking control of the country, and not expect some kind of forceful reaction.

From what I can tell, the way they keep intentionally wording things would suggest that there could be a shake up of the current administration and not a transition to Biden.
