Our cats make sure we are not hassled for any length of time by any mouse that may sneak its' way in. We had a bit of an issue earlier in the summer when the abandoned house 2 doors down from us was finally bought, gutted, and renovated. They must have disturbed a mouse nest, because we had 3 mice this year. We'd had one the previous 5 years we've lived here. Luckily the cats tracked them down before they could cause any serious trouble. Although my wife was not as pleased when our orange tabby boy brought one of them up and plopped it next to her while she was working in the kitchen. Her scream might have been picked up in the next county.
