The Obama administration's war crimes in Syria and his unwillingness to admit to the mistakes there disqualify him for any political office in my view. Half a million people died there because of the civil war we instigated and no one in his party seems to care and the ones who do speak out about it are labeled Russian shills. To be clear, the Obama policy was to depose a shitty but secular dictator and replace them with an unelected Islamist theocracy. They can pretend that they wanted to bring democracy but if you look at the main actors in play in Syria no person with 2 brain cells would think that Democracy would have been a likely outcome.

My mom who has never voted ask me to register her in California so she could vote. She also asked me to show her how to do it because some of her friends want to vote for Trump for the first time. They are fed up with how Democrats are running the state and with what they want to do to the nation.

It is a shame because he started off so promising. But it feels like he just wants to keep us in some wars in places where we no longer have a clear mission or reason to be there. As someone of Syrian descent I respect our president so much for standing up and making the unpopular decision to let these regions sort out their own problems and stop trying to play world police. If I'm in shitty California and I can get out and vote and get 3 other people who didn't vote in 2016 to vote, you all have a responsibility. There's a lot of motivated people out there against us.
