That happened in Philadelphia. Philly uses ES&S, not Dominion

I am a contractor with Dominion. I know Gen Flynn meant well but that tweet isn’t completely accurate. Not sure what the tweet meant with “how to hack it’s software,” but when it comes to the test batch of ballots, the ballots are pre-filled with votes for every candidate provided on it to easily match with a pattern on the included test results page. After completing the test, the tabulation is zeroed out so no votes are recorded then the county board of elections is supposed to lock up that batch because yes, they can be scanned as live ballots. All scanners are to produce a “zero report” thereafter to show no votes have been casted in the system. Purging batches is when you encounter a problem like accidentally running the same batch twice, leaving a completed batch open when you meant to scan the next, when you have a paper jam, or when you want to recount. To delete a batch of Trump votes, you’d either have to already know that an entire batch was all votes for him and not save that specific batch after scanning or you’d have to go into the ballot images and pick them out. The way it’s described in the tweet is misleading

Of course. It hits too close to home and with it in a negative light to a President and country I care highly about, it hurts not knowing what I can actually do while I have a foot in the door

The best I feel like I can do is describe how some things work. I’d wear a wire or try recording but I don’t think anything would be found where I’m at. I’ve worked multiple counties and their operations vary greatly. Being in a non-swing state, none seemed to be problematic. Mostly just people wanting to get work done and go home after the long days. Republicans are better to work with, even before Trump, I will add. Most board of elections have their own employees or hire contractors to run the scanners. Dominion provides the hardware, software, and support including some of their own contractors

I am a low level contractor with Dominion. There are many lower people who are pro-Trump conservatives. Joined to keep an eye on our elections. No where near the Michigan mess and never met the higher ups but I’m ready and willing to do what I can do for this country and Trump

Sounds more likely that some results could’ve been inputted repeatedly. The county employee uploads results from in-person votes and mail-ins/provisional votes together

It stops scanning and it displays the problem on the computer. The main problem to cause it is something interfering the barcode along the edges of the ballot. It could be a rip, fold, or a mark. Extra folds are most annoying where it could jam the scanner and we’d have to start that specific batch over after discarding it from the system. Another setting would be if the county scans by town. If the town of a ballot doesn’t match the intended town in the batch, it’ll stop. The damaged ballots that can’t be fixed by tape either get duplicated or handcounted, varies by county. Ballots that don’t match towns either get placed in the right town or ran in a mixed batch

Can’t speak for board of elections computers where they are connected to the internet for uploads and the other things they do. With the scanners’ computers, they are completely offline. Updates for scanner software is most likely by usb flash drives

Remember how we were all encouraged to be poll watchers for this election? Some of us got the calling to be involved sooner and some of us got even deeper inside than just watching

In my experience, results from the scanners are given directly to a county board of elections employee for them to upload to their state and website. In the Michigan case, uploading the results like that sounds like it would be by human error or intentionally

With the scanners I work with, no. They are regular high-volume scanners

Finally this comment shows. I’ve donated hundreds to the Trump campaign and will continue to donate when I’m able. I could use a fresh hat. On dominion, I will keep an eye on the inside. A lot of the lower guys are pro-Trump. Also don’t turn a blind eye on ES&S. They’re involved in Philly and I’ve always thought they were sketchy. Obviously I can’t speak for every county or their workers or processes, but I may be able to help describe a few things if need be

My comments haven’t been showing up in any thread but I work along with Dominion in elections. I’m not in a battleground state. What’s going on with Dominion?

I’m not sure if my comment is showing on other threads. I’m involved in election work with Dominion. Not in a battleground state. What is going on?

Myself and/or those I know have work/worked with/for Dominion on elections. (aiming for anonymity, sorry for wording) A lot of us lower guys are pro-Trump conservatives. What’s going on?

I know. Your quote included it and this thread in general is on Philadelphia. I’m pro-Trump and have worked with Dominion before. I want to make sure pedes are informed
