My daughter went to All-State a couple years, proud Dad here... Our state does The Battle Hymn of the Republic every year, it'll melt your feels.

This middle-aged Marine says “GAT-DAMN this is the dude whose shoulders I was standing on.” MAN I love some gung-go shit before I go to bed.

Edit: Fuck Apple for not autospelling gung-ho.

I’m lit, fighting tears. Tell me I’m a racist one... more... time.

Thank God for little beautiful moments like this in such insanely ugly times. The beauty is gonna win.

Agree,... but the COVID nonsense has to stop first. Wait, grocery is ‘essential’. So yeah, if your mayor and local chamber of commerce aren’t hippies, hit em up!

Yeah, I don’t know how the term got flipped, I think the old references thought and the new references fiscal policy... crappy joke I guess,... But what about Sumner? That stuff is profound and awesome. Relevant as if written today, and it’s from late 1800s. He’s ‘classic liberal’ if I’m not mistaken, so somewhere they stole the word.

Maaan, and Target is French, right? Thank God for Fareway. We have Menards in the Midwest, they’re privately owned.

D’s, P’s, and A’s, people. And the P’s are only an inch and a half from being A’s.

Work appropriate, non mysogynistic, respectful to her humanity and her husband; boner.

Oh and Jesus’s birthday, sorry for my humor, sure we’ll have an awkward chuckle about it when you let me in to heaven and say “yes I died for those sins too, you lippy moron,” then I say “yeaaah, sorry boss.”

Boner.

So am I too old to re-up as a guardian? I got a bachelors and a masters since I was a 20-something Sergeant of Marines. I wanna be an officer of Guardians, swap the humvee for a spaceship and use my TD.win cybercriminaling weaponized autism for GEOTUS. No joke. This would make my life.

Aaaaaaw man... this is amazing, but I hate to be that guy - I'd have bought a print of this if they didn't dork up the "Strength" word... somebody find an eraser and fix this! I'd frame it!

And even our allies can’t fly over with the airspace treaty to see our movements. Remember we expired that recently?

I'm still skeptical of a lot of stuff, as we all should be... But I indulged in a little "no way" acronym comparison between "Nothing Can Stop What Is Coming" and "National Council of Statewide Interoperability Coordinators." If I summarize correctly, it looks like they've been installing and building a nationwide communications network for a couple years in case the whole modern grid goes down - so the cops, firefighters, and medics can still talk. This is EXACTLY what I would have if I were them.

We had a freak straight-line, mid-continent hurricane in Iowa this year, a "Derecho." Power was out for a week, internet was out for two. Cell phone tower was out, had to drive two miles for a 'sweet spot' to call work to check in...

My son played outside. Neighbors helped neighbors clean up or cut up trees. We grilled neighborhood dinners. I let my neighbor plug his fridge into my generator so his food didn't spoil.

It was beautiful and amazing.

Also, my roof was screwed. And all 4 sides of my house's siding.... but 3 months without internet would be a good thing.
