I want to come to DC. I'd like to meet some folks and get in with a group. I think the wife and kids, while they would love to come, would feel safer at home.
Is there some tool, kind of like AirBnB for pedes? Like somewhere "Hey, if you're a middle aged chill dude from the Midwest who is willing to bring some craft beer and the best beef jerky the world has ever seen, we're gonna be a X,Y location at Z time. Come join us."

Commie Santa told the kid he couldn't have a Nerf gun. I want to give him one. Sounds like his mom may be lining up a charitable Christmas gift thing like Toys for Tots, and I can't find how to contribute... and I don't want to use Facebook to do it.
