that's because most universities decided to do online virtual classes but still wanted to charge the same price and that pissed off a lot of international students. most companies are not sponsoring H1B visas because hiring is down the problem with Chinese students in America is that many of our universities are becoming dependent on the money they bring, that's a huge problem because soon China might start dictating what they are allowed to teach in college about their regime. this is also happening in the UK. I'm not advocating for the use of drugs to treat depression, having a healthy lifestyle of sleeping well, eating more than just fried chicken, going to church and doing exercise should relieve a lot of stress, but if you don't have a good friend to talk to and are holding back feelings that are ruining your life just talk to a counselor.
I do know people that have been diagnosed with bipolar dissorder, that's more serious and it's not something to make fun of or stigmatize if they take medication. If you've never been with someone that had an episode in front of you, you shouldn't judge.

I don't think that's a problem really, talking o a counselor is not gonna turn you into a liberal cuck. But it should help you understand your emotions better so that they don't control your life or behaviour. For me, it was useful because I grew up with a mother that was constantly stressed out and that translated into me not knowing how to communicate my feelings properly in fear of her lashing out. When I'm under stress instead of confronting the situation I just let it accumulate until one day I either lash out or just leave, not fun when you try to have a healthy relationship with a girlfriend. But now I'm learning to recognize and act on the stress before it gets out of hand, it's still hard but I'm definitely happier. Also, my counselor just really asks the right questions, doesn't give me any political bullshit
Have you ever been in a therapy session? You can find a Christian counselor if you are scared of being indoctrinated, I'm just saying everyone should have someone they can talk to if they feel tormented a lot of people that are depressed just need a friend.
Talking to a counselor that you think might help you. Some people have a hard time sharing feelings that torment them, or maybe they don't have anyone to talk to. But being able to share your torment with someone is definitely liberating. If you can get better with just conversational therapy with a professional you don't need medication. Mental health is something serious, we are under unprecedented amounts of stress, and taking medication should not be stigmatized, you never know if you'll need it one day.
