The whole point of section 230 is to protect providers that are unaware of content they're providing because it's user-generated and too vast to actively moderate. I don't think it should be repealed entirely because that opens up liability even for a site like this if someone posts something illegal.

The real issue is kind of forgotten - that platforms like twitter, reddit, they actively moderate their content and choose what stays and what gets censored.

Ultimately it does protect the little guys too, if you host your own forum and someone comes along and spams it with child pron, you aren't liable for hosting it because of section 230. I think once you are aware you do have an obligation to remove it and cease hosting it, but until that point you are not liable.

We do need that protection to maintain the freedom we have on the internet. Otherwise every site will have to vet all user-submitted content before allowing it to become public. The only sites that can afford to do that are the already established big tech companies.

I propose we need better criminal penalties and enforcement against DDOS attacks, and a requirement of neutrality for large service providers so they can't kick people off due to political pressure. And amend section 230 to allow for civil liability on large platforms that actively moderate their user-generated content, so when Twitter decides what political content they censor, they are liable for everything they don't and can get sued directly for libel.

You've still got a few months to stock up. I have 10 full ammo cans in various calibers. It doesn't look like much but that's several thousand rounds, more than I could really hope to use up. Also important - buy magazines. You want full magazines ready to swap out if you're ever "in action" so to speak. It takes minutes to reload a magazine but just a few seconds to put in a full one.

Mix and match. Buy cheap rounds for practice and expensive hunting rounds for... hunting of course.
