Definitely doable. 4 years ago my wife and I had about $300 in our bank. I was in college, and we were totally living paycheck to paycheck.

I got a good job after college 2 years ago, and make $80k, I also now do programming on the side making games which nets me an additional $80k a year. Wife makes $50k a year. We don’t have a lot of free time, but if OP does something similar it can totally happen.
