Don’t use an internet interface for cctv, have a VLAN setup by your network team that is only for your camera network. In that way you have to be on y’all’s private network to view and admin the cameras. Use a VPN if you need remote access. If you are still getting hit you have other security issues or you have an internal threat and that should be easy to peg at that point.
Sorry bud I live in west Texas we don’t play these games. While yes this absolutely infuriated me I also choose to live in places not run by communist. The people in these cities are paralyzed because their government is paralyzed. They need to grow their own set of balls or move somewhere that has a set. My personal opinion is that in the daylight the people sick of this shit should go and attack their city officials drag them out of their offices and homes, remove these people by force and make the state and federal government step in, don’t fight the mob just fight the 8-12 people that allow the mob to destroy your city. Country sheriffs should be jailing city officials that promote rioting.
Sunshine I assume you have never been to war, congratulations. I on the other hand have spent 5+ years of my life in the ME. I am not a Nazi, the rest of the military are not war criminals. We have had trials in military court over misconduct, we police our own quite well. I carry zero shame in fulfilling my duties in the military and would do them 100 times over if it meant that the world didn’t have to endure another Saddam or ISIS. War isn’t pretty, and if the Iraqi army didn’t dissolve into the public and stood and fought this conversation wouldn’t be happening, we brought a fight to them for their atrocities they ran and hid in the population causing more suffering for their people. You need to do some more research on what happened not just some left wing shit documentary, try a book or jockos the unraveling podcast.
From the experience of things I’ve seen in my career this stuff happens, not often, but it happens. Put something in a container, let enough time go by, have someone who doesn’t pay attention to paperwork fill out hazdec wrong, wait more time, container gets misboated, wait more time. If you keep stacking the deck this stuff happens, it’s usually not nefarious but negligence.
