OK, checked in this morning for my knee replacement surgery at my local hospital in Occapied Virginia. The check-in center has been completely retrofitted for COVID "protection". Plexiglas barriers, sanitized pens, they sign the forms so that you don't have two people touching the same pages. And everybody is wearing masks. Some people are wearing TWO masks.

I had to have him repeat the questions three times with my ear pressed to the crack in the plexiglass. I had him hold up the form he was filling out for me so I could verify that it contained MY answers. And the "sanitized" pen bled on the one thing I did sign.

The arrangement might work if they just shut off the damned Muzak...

There is a dirty rumor that Biden is losing staff and does not have the money to hire new staff. I think there is a way to prove or disprove this rumor.
