What the fuck was that question?

This and the "who is your neighbor voting for?" question are good for getting by the shy Trump voter.

I agree, but the "what about Biden?" argument doesn't really apply here. The problem that fence-sitters have is about Trump and his mannerisms not Biden and his.

If the strategy was to divide the democratic base, then I think that the debate was a success. If it was to convince moderates and fence-sitters, then I think it was a failure. Most fence-sitters are there because Trump "isn't very presidential". This sentiment boils down to he elaborates a lot, he insults his opponents, and he doesn't show traditional PC decorum.

I think Trump was Trump last night, and that reinforces their view that he "isn't presidential". If the play was for moderates, it wasn't executed well in my opinion.

Time will tell and the more I think about the debates, I think he performed better than I did initially. There were moments that I thought he had slam-dunk policy and record based answers that he chose to not use.

I don't think it was democrat favoritism. I think that Trump legitimately pissed him off so he took sides from that point forward.

No, he used Beau as cover for sure. It was his rehearsed closing...I'm sure all of his practice and rehearsal was around defending and deflecting for Hunter. It was obvious he was prepared for Hunter statements. His plan was to make Trump talk about Hunter while he was talking about Beau and I think he would've had it, but he got flustered and reverted to defending.

That's his other son, no?

On a side note, Biden did admit to Quid Pro Quo'ing Brazil.

I agree 100%

I feel like this has gone about as poorly as it could, and I am a huge Trump supporter.

He's missed so many opportunities to show policy triumphs and it's very upsetting.

Looks like it was a cookie/browser storage error. Just cleared it and it resolved. False alarm.

Odd. If errors out every time for me...

edit: I can get it to work if I open in a new private window, but not regular tabs or regular window.

I’m becoming more and more confident that they are sleep training him to avoid sun downing during the debate. He’s going to bed at 10a and waking up at ~5-7p.

This is nothing to downvote. I think Trump is going to dominate the debate, but only if he prepares for a good performance from Biden. I have no doubt that he is doing just that, but Biden is going to be on a lot of meds and he honestly might be just waking up for the day. This statement didn’t come across as demented to me.

Someone was talking about the lids are his team resetting his internal clock so he’s waking up 1-2 hours before the debate. This honestly doesn’t sound that far fetched.

I hear you there. I’m also convinced that The Russia narrative was always in the works. They were going to go after him just as hard if Hillary won. The plan? Prevent someone like him from ever having the idea of running for office again.

If they retake the Senate, it would not be 2/3's of it. Conviction would still fail.

Regardless of whether Trump is out of office in 2020 or 2024, he will 100% be prosecuted by government for the remainder of his life. The only thing that prevents this is if the Rs have total control of the government, which is unlikely.

Not to defend CNN or anything, but I would absolutely expect a media company to give more air time to a SCOTUS Justice dying than a person related to the president.
