Just booked my room in crystal city.
For those who have never been to DC - the bulk of all of the activities will be on the area called the Mall. There are very few stores and restaurants in this area to begin with. There are little to no grocery stores, drug stores, zero big box, and what restaurants are located on the area are largely closed or out of business.
True but grocery and convenience stores in DC are just 4-6 blocks out in most directions from the national mall.

in addition, if patriots are staying in pentagon city, crystal city, arlington area, they can stock up before they enter DC.

No brand markings. No sports markings. Pick solid colors, of darker gamut. There is actually a psychological correlation to wearing darker gamut of clothing that has a tendency to not strike in a person's mind as memorable. Also, if youre flagged as a POI, the LEO only has "they guy in the dark and grey clothing".

They would monitor where everyone is coming in from and all they have to do is order the metro police to close the entrance to certain stations for a few hours to curtail.
Remember, they have these systems in place already to use for permitted events in DC. July 4th for example, they used people movement traffic to assign more metro cars to certain lines when the fireworks ended and people headed home.

That is why I believe we could plan multiple rally points. Coordinate large enough groups through here and then all egress at the same time in to DC.

They could, they havent done that sort of thing outside of all the track expansion construction and/or maintenance.

Many of the areas surrounding DC are heavily populated with lots of hotels grouped in the same area, with lots walking distance from a DC metro station.
Not everyone has the warrior mindset, its ok. Sit on the sidelines while real men save the Repiublic.
In crystal city, theres a corridor of hotels that defense employees use.
If youre on a budget, look at DC metro stations that extend further out on any of the lines.
Rule of thumb, the further away you get from DC, the areas where the hotels are grouped together in the same 1-2 mile area tend to be lower rates. It's still very convenient to get in to DC, you walk to the nearest DC station and take your route in.
My advice:
Dont catch yourself alone. Stay with large groups of armed patriots.
When and if you get here, I am sure there will be threads discussing rally points. Dont kit up until you are there among frens.

Crystal city is virginia, yes. I may or may not be staying somewhere in that row of those hotels in crystal city.
Pentagon is just 5-6 blocks north of that hilton.
