I have been saying this for 10 years now. Once AI is functional the elite wont need any of us usless eaters. They need very few people to serve them now. AI is soooooooo much farther along than they are letting on. Robotic farming, robotic medical services, robotic planes, autos. Energy is a problem but as population decreases the need for energy follows. If there were only a few thousand people living on this land a few small high tech nuclear reactors would supply enough energy for Bill Gates to light any city center he wanted with plenty to spare.
