None of this is true. The Truman loyalty order specified that people linked to groups on the AG's list of subversive organizations (such as the KKK or the CPUSA) were ineligible for employment as federal government officials. McCarthy proved with abundant documentary evidence that a very large number of federal officials were kept in place despite meeting the criteria for immediate dismissal.

Morris Childs informed the FBI that Stanley Levison and Hunter Pitts O'Dell had been assigned to the Party's Negro Project, instructed to attach themselves to MLK in hopes of the Party getting a ride on King's coattails. J Edgar Hoover sent Sullivan to warn MLK that he was being duped by Russian agents (as the FBI used to do for people until they decided not to because Trump /s), but King continued to confer with both. JFK then warned MLK off, and King promised to break it off, but FBI surveillance caught covert communications. Sullivan may have wanted to kill MLK because of all the pervy stuff he was forced to surveil, from a supposed man of God. But J Edgar would have been OK with him being dead, one less commie

'Four.'

'And if the party says that it is not four but five -- then how many?'

“What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as freedom should not be highly rated.”

― Thomas Paine, The American Crisis
