Basically do a “reconstruction” to them as they did to the south.
Forced labor camps, military governments in lefty states, Andersonville.
Has SCOTUS ever ruled on the practice?
Not that the current court would do squat... but I wonder if there’s precedent?
siren goes off
What’s that?
War were declared
Have Biden coughing through it... will take at least twice as long
Ban the use of “for other purposes” using a bill that is also “for other purposes” - Rand Paul
You would think someone who was more intelligent, would also come with more skepticism and humility.
People who are experts in their field often don’t think they know all that much about their own field, let alone fields they don’t hold any credentials for.
When you know a lot about your own field, you learn new stuff every day... and you know that never ends
But imagine what that does to a culture, socially.
Imagining the US in a few years all of a sudden needing no manufacturing and no farming, no local retailers and no dine-in restaurants.
It would cripple us.
When you realize that both sides of the civil war were white supremacists, the only reason they hate the confederate flag versus the american flag is that it stood for states rights.
Whether you fly the american flag or the rebel flag, you are espousing white supremacy. because that what that stands for. You’re just picking between federation or confederacy. And judging by how the federal has gone the past 160 years, I would choose confederacy.
Or you fly neither, which.... get out.
They tell us, sir, that we are weak; unable to cope with so formidable an adversary. But when shall we be stronger? Will it be the next week, or the next year? Will it be when we are totally disarmed, and when a British guard shall be stationed in every house? Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?
Ben Franklin made a motion to make the executive an unpaid position, it was seconded by John Jay, IIRC, then was never discussed
He said something along the lines of making a position of wealth also and position of power, and men would move heaven and earth to obtain it. Something about adding avarice to ambition.
Source: my vague memories of the anti-federalist papers
by definition
Always giving yourself away
That last one is BS.
Something something Unitary Executive.
All executive authority in the federal government either needs to be executed by the president himself, or within his chain of command.
Not that he can Individually fire every member of the executive branch, but he can fire the person who can fire the person.... who can fire every person in the executive branch.
That’s like Article II, Section 1 shit.
Basically, if Congress grants the authority for the government to execute an action, it shall be done as the President wishes.
And if you don’t agree with that, you’re fired.
Maybe they just prefer bourbon?
Trump added a 25% tariff to scotch, so it’s not really a fair game.
Glenfiddich 12 is $55, Makers Mark $35
I don’t know a single malt scotch with an age statement that goes for under $45
I thought it was just Gordon Wood and Vickers, ibid, your honor.
What’s cheaper than glenfiddich?
Also, Michael Cohen drinks Glenlivet 12.... fucking gross. I woulda fired him on the spot.. or emm sent him to jail.
Weird thing is, that’s an “okay” position to take.
If they would have just came out and said, yea, elections are non-justiciable... then,like.. cool.
But voting right act is out, and also they can’t rule on the census that determines voting either.
Also, in the future, the 30+ red states can do whatever the f they want.
say it
Considering all these people hate everything about America, yea; they would condemn Washington
