Maybe they're pushing ventilators again because their death rate is going to shit as the supposed positive case totals rise. You said yourself that it's not best practice, but you continue to see posts about it. Can't scare people into complying if nobody is dying. Just thought I'd contribute for a change (as you pointed out below) with an example that this is still going on, but for what reason.

You seem to have your doubts about the need for ventilators as well, based on some of your comments. So why do they continue to use them?
A friend who is a nurse said once someone goes on one, that's it, they're done.
Maybe hospitals are venting patients to keep the death rate climbing and the federal funds coming in. A family friend who was recently in the hospital (COVID of course, everything is), physically fought them from intubating him, so they sedated him and did it anyway. He was dead a day later.
Despite this being an obvious case of self-defense, Democrat New Mexico politicians took sides immediately. The mayor blamed the shooter and the governor vowed to go after the “instigator.”
