It makes no sense. If all of a sudden all the old republicans and neo-cons started supporting my candidate I would be like 'wait WHUT, hold on a minute'.
The main headline all day long has been for one of the democratic senators.
Democrats were seething. Many middle fingers! Trump supporters are way nicer and don't hate. We don't insult people for expressing themselves. Democrats are so hateful right now.
I guess the left doesn't really care about transparency of government.
Is there going to be fallout because the teachers union decided they didn't want to show up for work? Will public school enrollment drop? Can I recoup my property taxes if I send my kids to private school or home school them? There was just a ruling on this but I don't understand how to take advantage of it.
The problem with early estimates of COVID-19 mortality rate is that there were cases that went untested. Mortality appeared much higher than it actually is because only those who were symptomatic got tested. With increased testing we can now better estimate the upper bound for mortality, however, many states that already saw a peak in COVID cannot provide us the data we need. Only states like Florida and Arizona where COVID has not peaked can give us the comparisons we need.
Using the assumption that a COVID death will occur 2 weeks after testing positive, Arizona saw 131045 cases as of 7/15/20 and 3470 deaths as of 7/29/20. Arizona has an upper bound mortality rate of 2.6%. Florida saw 301387 cases as of 7/15/20 and 6332 deaths as of 7/29/20. Florida has an upper bound mortality rate of 2.1%.
An upper bound of 2.5% is still an overestimation because the calculation treats deaths/cases reported between February and May with the same weight as more recent deaths/cases.
The mortality rate still does not count asymptomatic cases, a number we wont know until there is wide spread antibody testing. Perhaps we should figure out just how many people have antibodies before we start sticking everyone with vaccines. Before we make huge policy decisions the American people deserve to know the true severity of COVID.

The mistake the protests made was to get violent. If the protests stayed peaceful they would have got a lot of sympathy. We may not have agreed with what the protests were about, and we probably would be shitting and pissing all over the protestors as it is for being clowns, but their message would be a lot more powerful had they stayed peaceful. Not only that but the protests have achieved the opposite effect from what was intended. For instance, I wouldn't be on thedonald.win now because I wouldn't have been rallied into place since I bailed on reddit years ago. The violence has completely derailed any message the protestors hoped to convey.
